Captain George Cracklow was the beloved son of Captain Henry Cracklow and Caroline Cracklow. He was born on 31 October 1789.
MILITARY CAREER (1811-1832)
1811- 30 April 1814- George Cracklow joined Bengal Army as "Ensign" aged 22. He served as "Ensign" for 3 years.
30 April 1814- 19 July 1816- Cracklow was promoted to "Second Lieutenant". He served as "Second Lieutenant" for 2 years.
19 July 1816- 1826- Cracklow was promoted to "Lieutenant" in 6 th Bengal Native Infantry. He served as "Lieutenant" for 10 years.
1826- 5 October 1832- Cracklow was promoted to "Captain". He served as "Captain" of 6 th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry till his death in 1832 at Jaunpur.
13 April 1826- George Cracklow married to Suzette Gill ( Eldest Daughter of D Gill, ESQ) at St James Church, Westminster with whom he had 2 children.
Captain George Cracklow died on 5 October 1832 in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
